When you click on a file the file will say something like b300fafit_001.bmp or .cmx. Thats the file extension. BMP are skins, CMX are meshes IFF are objects and ANI are animations. I use ACDsee the file viewing program so my files are color coded so are easy to tell the difference between certain files.

first you find the folder where your sims game is installed. the default is c:\program files\maxis\ the sims

look in it and you'll see other folders. 1 is callee downloads you instal most objects in that. there's also a folder called gamedata this is where you install skins, walls and floors. put all the animation files into the SKINS folder.

I would like to first say that I absolutely LOVE this site! I'm relatively new at the Sims and am delighted to find a site like this to satisfy my more *ahem*unusual desires with your objects and skins. Bravo!

Now for my problem: What is it you mean when you say to put certain files in certain folders? For example, the velvet love bed needs to have the iff in the downloads folder and the cmx and cfp in the gamesdata/skins folder. What are the iff, cmx, and cfp, how do I find them and put them specifically in those folders?
