I dont have the problem either. I stick horrid recolors in a downtown lot and my sims swarm over just to show me they dont like em. *shrug*

that's odd i've never had that problem. i create resteraunts, strip clubs whatever all the time downtown and the sims can't wait to get there!

Yes theres a patch.
Unfortunatly it says Pre-SS but I dont think that doesnt mean it wont work its just not created for the SS expansion
Its on Wilf's Sims Stuff site - under patches. Like 3 or 4 patches down - Hot Date Customised Restaurant Patch (Pre-SS)
Not sure if this will help community lots but its description is exactly what you descibed happening. Hope it helps!

Ok, this rather Irks me. If you take a normal lot and turn it into a Community lot, sims will NEVER visit it on their own. Same as with a Downtown lot. If you create a restaurant on your own sims will never eat there. They will only travel to Maxis created areas. Has anyone seen a patch to fix this?
