Simslice weather machine
I was curious if anyone has the item from Simslice. It looks pretty damn cool and would be a fun item to have. Tho on my machine it looks like it would lag the thing horribly. I was thinking of making a 5.00 donation and picking one up, just want to know how well it works.

Got the weather machine and it is pretty damn cool... just as i posted earlier. But watch out for those summer rains...the lightning strikes burn!

pandora sims will have something similar soon except my versions a patch and will make rain, lightning and thunder appear now and than like real weather. new sounds will also be present.

what kind of computers are you both running? I have a 700 celeron, 256 ram, and 32 mb vid card. When I make a HUGE house thats very furnished theres times where the game skips a second or 2 or animations jump a bit due to lag. I am thinking the weather effects are gonna lag me badly

i have a p4 1.7 ghz with 512 ddr ram

OOpps I didn't even think about trying it out downtown, LOL. If you know how to make it available then please be my guest, LOL. Sorry. Oh and BTW the curtains will only work if you have unleashed, I thought they looked nice with the couch, hehehe. Just remember this is my first actual try with 2 Sims so be easy on me ! I hope you ALL like it though.

DOH, did you reload and try it again? That happens with me and the Spanker, Vibrators and Nature Girl objects, 1 out of 50 uses will crash the game.
I don't know what to say, maybe dump it into another folder? Try the Sims/Game data/UserObjects folder. Other than that, I know how that feels

Weather crashes help
Its in their readme:
Also keep in mind that The Sims has been known to crash sometimes when A LOT of activity is occurring on the screen at once. If this is an issue for your game, then simply reducing the amount of weather on your screencan should help prevent this from recurring. If for some reason you do experience a crash, please try the above suggestion, and read our FAQ page (on the website) for details and resolutions about "crashes". If after trying that it doesn't help, drop us a line we'll try to help.
Could try putting those files loose in the downloads folder.
*crossing all bendables* hasn't happened to me...yet :/

trust me if you want to play the sims with practically no problems or crashing than you need a very powerful computer like a p 4 and lots of ram!
i have a p4 1.7 ghz with 512 DDR ram and i basically have no problems except for the in built game bugs

The weather machine is adoreable! The little cloud floats around the yard. It won't be as realsitic as weather, though.Blade's sounds better. I took the file folder how it came, cut and pasted it into my downloads folder- works fine.
Sweets- that lapdance couch is AWESOME!!! It works downtown- I have little lap dance rooms in my "Pandora's Pleasure Place" (in honor of Blade's site), and it's a blast! THANK YOU!!!!!!!:D

NEWS FLASH: Tornados previously buggering SimCity strikes Simsville! One of the first to hit the fashionable town picked the Newbies up from their beds just as they were facing off for a night of love.
The huge gust sent the coupling couple out their bedroom and into the sky. Neighbors were reported to be sitting in their lawn chairs passing popcorn as the Newbies were constantly thrust together and apart by the dancing winds. After a full 60 minutes of spinning, Betty Newbie came down on her hubby rather hard. Mr. Newbie was heard to say, 'That was quite a blast!' Videos can be found downtown for 10 simoleons apiece with an X rating.

ROLF, thats pretty good. I had always hoped Maxis would add weather or a few extra features. Would love to be able to go over to a friends house, like call them up and ask if you can come over, or every so often a friend/lover will call you up and ask for you to go there. Then you'd hop into the cab and appear at their house and see how they treat you.
Another thing I wish you could do, is have 2 sets of clothing for a sim, so if they want to wear something else instead of going through every single skin in the dresser, they would choose which ones they personally own and then change into them. Would be kind fun for the weather if they get soaked, their mood would be lowered till they change out of the wet clothes.
Another thing I STILL want maxis to add... basements. I can't really replicate any houses I've ever lived in because they all had basements. It shouldn't be to hard for them to do. Just make it so when you place a stairs going down, it brings you under the house and you can only build under the house itself.

Neo - I've been wanting a basebent for the sims as well ! also another floor level would be kewl- But the basement would be great addition-
