bad news guys

Pandora sims is using 3 times it's bandwidth i blame the love beds and sex rug for this Also australian currency exchange rates are now quite high now these days that might be good for the economy but it's NOT good to me. I get paid in US funds and unless the AU currency exchange rate is fairly low I only make about $2 per subscription! This isn't enough to maintain the bandwidth costs so i've been forced to raise my subscription prices. Sorry I have no choice unless i do something i won't be able to maintain the site for much longer and it WILL close!
I've added a poll on the main page please vote it will determine the new price for elite subscriptions. I can only hope peeps will be willing to pay the new price otherwise the site is going down...

8 dollars your nuts

Your asking 8 dollars for about 10 objects a month, that is very expenive, just take off the big objects, you can get sex beds for free at diffrent sites.

No, actually thats pretty cheap. I've seen sites demand up to 20 dollars a month. Well ok, for a Sim site its a bit expensive, I've seen webcomic sites demand 30.00 per month. I do not want to see Pandora sims Close down, nor do I want it to be taken over by Porn popups. Not really sure what to say, maybe ask around and see what other sims paysites use for servers. Sims resource is 6.50 for 2 months (but has HUGE ammounts of subscribers), 8th Deadly sim is 3.50 per month. One of them might have a better server.

Or... like I've seen at times, set a limit on daily Bandwith. Not a good thing, since some websites falter when they exceed bandwith.

Ok the difference between an elite and standard membership is: The standard membership is $5 which is the price right now it will give you access to the high quality objects section AND the files section to download the snp4 etc however the adults section will be locked out. The elite membership gives you acess to ALL the sections including the adults only section and the careers section the price of this will be determined by the POLL results. if you already have a subscription you will not need to pay any additional fees and if you have a continuous subscription you will still only pay $5 so consider yourself lucky! if you only want to pay $5 i suggest you sign up for a continuous subscription right now because once the elite membership comes in the price will change from $5 to the new price!

Only new 1 month only subscribers will have a choice of selecting elite or
standard however continuous subscribers will need to select the elite mebership. The reason for this is i can easily upgrade 1 month subscriptions to elite and vice versa BUT with continuous subscriptions the payments made with paypal cannot be changed once a user has signed up so to avoid all this hassle i've set the price for continuous subscriptions to an elite membership only. the rpice of elite membership is still to be determined but by the looks of things it will most likely be $8 per month.

In other changes i'm also working to get Ibill put on the site so paypal will no longer be needed however it will still be used. ibill will also cost a lot to maintain another reason why i'm raising prices.

The reson that most people join your site is the adult objects. You post about 10 new objects a month. Most people are not going to pay 5 bucks a month. So you mostly have one timers. They download a lot because they are new to your site(you loose money on them. Iff you make a specail fee for 3 months(example: 12 $) you are going to make money. They are with you for 3 month and they only download much the first month. This is what all pay site do. Iff you ask 5$ dollars everytime they are not going to resupscribe, and not many people are going to pay 8$ dollars for a sim site

Thats the problem with sim sites, for paysites they have to rely on the creators of the objects and skins, can't update if the skinners don't submit objects or skins. 8th Deadly sim wasn't that great because in the time I had subscriptions (30 days) it was updated twice with objects and 4 times with skins). Pandora and JDS is better, they update a bit more with skins and objects.

So for Sims paysites, unless the site is huge and the webmaster has the time, staff and money it can get hard to maintain.

i usually update as soon as i finish something i upload it straight away than announce on the mailing list at the end of the week the list of updates. i don't always update with adult stuff cos their hard to come by but usually i end up whipping up some more adult fantasy art and there's over 50 of them!

With six "Sim site" subscriptions, I'm paying over $400. (US) per year to feed my simming habit. This doesn't include fees for "per item" downloads over and above subscription. Why not keep your site subscription but with a section that allows for free access to individual (priced) downloads of adult items? Visuals of the items can be spot blurred (if need be) with a description that entices purchase. This way you'd be covering both markets of free access and subscribers.

well the elite subscription has now been implemented. Like i said earlier there are now 2 subscriptions:

standard: for non adult users - gets you access to all sections except the adults and careers section. price: $5

elite: for adult users: gets you access to ALL sections including the hot adults only section and careers. price: $8

If you choose a 1 month only billing you can choose either standard or elite subscription. BUT if you choose continuous you will only have the choice of an elite subscription.

When i get enough $ saved I will be bringing in IBILL (www.ibill.com)
the high security sign up form that lets anyone with a credit card sign up paypal will not be needed! paypal will still remain but users will have the choice of using paypal OR Ibill.
